But FIRST the RULES:

1. I want an artist and title for the songs below.
   
2. NO CHEATING – like googling it or something – any pansy can do that…

NOW FOR SOME GENERAL HINTS:
1. all of the songs below were hits way back in 1996 – that’s TEN yrs ago!
2. They are famous for their lyrics…either because people would end up singing em in their cars or in instances where the lyrics were terrible, they were complimented by catchy tunes which made them hits

ONE:
This one is eazzeeeee
"im sitting here in the boring room, its just another rainy sunny afternoon, im wasting my time, I got nothing to do, im hanging around, im waiting for u but nothing ever happens and I wonder…"

TWO:
this one is a bit of a toughie. He was a huge RnB artist in the early 90's and this song was one of the most played back in 1996...in fact ive heard it being played a couple times this year on the airwaves as well, so it seems it still requested. So what is it? Go on sweat it out!
"baby baby I no, n baby I love u so, but u don’t feel like I do and tell me what can I do but I got to be strong, girl u did me wrong when I thought we were really down, so u say u want me, girl make up your mind cause im not gonna be here for long..."

THREE:
verrrrry very famous uptil today!
"Strumming my pain with his fingers, singing my life with his words…"

FOUR:
A one hit wonder - bursted on the airwaves and became one of the most played songs...well at least in my car. Lyrics are dumb but what a catchy tune. The artist is a brit, if im not mistaken...Say MAK, u should know this song!
"Well I tried to tell u so but I guess u didn’t know as I said the story goes baby now I got the flow cause I know it from the start, baby when u broke my heart that I had to come again and show u that im real. You lied to me all those times I said that I loved u, u lied to me yes I tried, yes I tried, u lied to me, even though u knew id die for u, u lied to me…"

FIVE:
This is tooooo easy for words...i mean which are other song has such unique lyrics???
"brother peles in the back, sweet zena’s in the front cruising down the freeway, in the hot, hot sun, suddenly, red, blue lights flash us from behind, loud voice booming please step out onto the line. Pele preaches words of comfort, zena just hides her eyes, policeman taps his shades - is that a chevy ’69?"

SIX:
Another one hit wonder. The song had a tropical feel to it and became one of summers most played songs back in the day. Again lyrics not really that impressive, but hey it was a GOOD song! hmmm, mysterious aint it?
"Baby girl…i said tonight is your lucky night, (artists name given), I stop and stare at u, walking on the shore, I try to concentrate my mind wants to explore, the tropical scent of u takes me up above and girl, when I look at u, oh I fall in love"

SEVEN:
This is probably one of the greatest...if not the greatest band to come out of britain. The group are known for their moodiness and their lyrics are on a whole new level. This wonder group made it BIG with this song and is to this day one of my favourites. If u do not know this song that u deserve to be put up against a wall and shot!
"Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you. By now you should've somehow realized what you gotta do. I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now. Backbeat the word was on the street that the fire in your heart is out. I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now..."

EIGHT:
Genre: METAL - and hence will be very difficult to fall asleep to a song like this
"Where do I take this pain of mine, I run but it stays right by my side. So tear me open and pour me out. There's things inside that scream and shout and the pain still hates me."

NINE:
This man is regarded as one of the best lyric writers in the business. If im not mistaken, this song appeared in the soundtrack to Phenomenon, starring John Travolta
"If I could reach the stars I'd pull one down for you, shine it on my heart so you could see the truth, that this love I have inside is everything it seems, but for now I find it's only in my dreams."

TEN:
This artist was critiscised by some English Pofessors arguing that her use of certain words...or rather a word was not appropriate for the song and actually had nothing to do with the song...this word is also the title of the song
